Poetic and Artistic is the interior design of a five-storey residential house of 480 square metres in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. The building is narrow and deep, so the layout was reorganised to improve daylight and the sense of space. The first and second floors form the public area and include a reception tea room, while the third to fifth floors hold bedrooms, a study and exercise rooms for a family of five. Utopia Residential House

Utopia

The radiant natural light is the source of the form of this space. An organic, inclusive space was the feeling designers wanted to create, so they also compared a lot of organic space practices, including the positioning of the construction drawings. The original basement space occupied half of the whole area, but the existing lighting in the basement only allowed the owner to make some useless space out of it. In order to improve the utilization rate of the whole underground space and increase the lighting, the designer wants to create a brand-new construction around the light indoors.

Blended Into The Forest Residential House

Blended Into The Forest

House Blended Into The Forest is a building that was created in the surroundings of an old pine forest with respect for nature. The basic assumption when designing this house was to integrate it into the existing trees and unite it with the forest. This idea was realized thanks to the use of a material that seems to be alien to the forest, i.e. sheet metal. The implementation showed that the house almost grows out of nature. The interior of the house is white and green dominates it thanks to large windows.

Glass Wall Residential House

Glass Wall

Glass Wall is a residential house built in Himeji, Japan in 2022. The house stands on a hill in a quiet residential area and uses the slope of the land to secure privacy. A reinforced concrete structure was chosen to provide large interior spaces and high resistance to earthquakes. The front elevation is divided into three box shapes set at different heights to avoid a monotonous appearance. One section holds a glass wall that lights an atrium space. The wood grain of cedar boards was transferred to the concrete walls so the surfaces do not look cold.
