Whale 0

Whale 0 is a pillow shaped after the streamlined body of a whale. The curved form supports the head, face and neck, and it adapts to back, side and stomach sleeping positions. The pillow is made of carbon dioxide polyol and bio vegetable oil polyols, which reduce the use of fossil fuels and improve biodegradability. A fully water blown foaming process is used to produce the foam. The material is hydrophilic, so the surface stays dry and breathable. The whale form is intended to bring a calm sense of peace and safety to the bedroom.

Curved is a chair made of natural Indonesian rattan. The design combines traditional rattan weaving craftsmanship with modern aesthetics. Smooth curved rattan lines recall the mountains and flowing water of traditional Chinese ink paintings. The form is shaped by hand through material selection, steaming, hot bending, shaping, polishing and painting. The armrest height, the leg stability and the curves of the seat and the backrest follow ergonomic study and support the waist and back. Corcovado is a sofa designed for living spaces. The form is inspired by the Corcovado hills and follows an organic, fluid line. The backrest extends to the middle of the seat and wraps around it. A base with long wooden sides runs along the piece as support. Finishes include wood and fabrics. The sofa measures 4.8 metres in width, 0.92 metres in height and 1.9 metres in depth. Four decorative cushions are included, so each owner can adjust comfort and appearance to personal taste. The design combines sculptural form with ergonomic comfort.

Eclipse

Eclipse is a home bar cabinet designed for collectors of glassware. The cabinet is inspired by Art Deco, with rounded edges and embedded door handles. Inside, a double carousel allows easy bottle selection, while velvet-lined drawers and glass hanging holders hold a collection of more than 80 glasses. Eclipse is made of walnut veneer and darkened bronze and is topped with a marble worktop. The metalwork is produced in house, using darkening and bending techniques. The cabinet measures 120 cm wide, 60 cm deep and 195 cm high.

Manzo

Manzo is a bedroom furniture collection that includes a wide chest of drawers, a standard chest of drawers and a nightstand. The design is inspired by the interplay of light and shadow seen when sunlight passes through tree leaves. Two materials are combined so that each keeps its own character while supporting the whole. The bodies are made of plywood with a walnut veneer, which removes the need for edge banding. All curves are pressed in one mold, and the upper part is carved by CNC and finished with semi-matte polyurethane paint. The glass panel can be replaced if damaged.

The Osso chair captivates one's attention with its striking silhouette. The chair is both Baroque and Minimalist, with its curved beams, bent seats, and a circular backrest layers up to the back like a spine, hence, Osso. Though the joineries seem effortless, the design follows architectural principles for strength and rhythm, reminiscent of traditional Oriental architecture. In collaboration between the young designer with seasoned French cabinetmakers Brimbois, the design is elevated by applying century old techniques and finishes to new contemporary pieces.
