Raw

The restaurant design tells a parallel tale about Raw and how chef André’s food can be experienced. From the bustling streets of Taipei into the restaurant, diners step across a wooden path into a tranquil space welcomed by a lounge area which forms a gentle transition from the city. As guests enter the main space, the centralized dining area is surrounded by the wooden structure begun at the entrance. The wooden structure is the centrepiece of RAW, deliberately placed after examining the settings and dimensions, which is complemented by an interior that diners experience in stages.

Reflect

Music is constantly chaotic and evolving, but always personal. This was the inspiration behind this generative system which fuses the artist’s identity with some of his musical journey’s aspects. The system fostered the team’s attempt to architect DjSarhi’s brand identity by capturing momentary tales of his music, whilst representing them in ‘Rorschach blot’ inspired ‘VIBEs’. By algorithmically mixing various seed inputs relevant to the musician, the system can iterate unlimited generations of curated design motifs – each telling a different and unique story.

Netatmo Welcome

Welcome’s design is elegant and non-intrusive, unlike traditional home security cameras. Welcome’s sophisticated technology is hidden in a slim cylinder-shaped aluminum body. Welcome is buttonfree, therefore all interaction happens in the companion App. A fine black plastic piece blends with the camera’s lense and covers elegantly the infrared LED and microphone. The pure shape and the warm gold tone make Welcome harmonious. Welcome highly respects the user’s privacy which is also reflected in its design: Welcome blends into each home interior, it blends into the user’s life.

Nankin Lab

There is a rare pleasure in seeing a building collapse, in breaking a paper in a half, or blowing up a balloon. These are acts that sometimes last less than a second, and being so ephemeral, makes you run longuer in a shorter time. These are situations involving speed and high intensity. Nankin Lab is a design studio that recreates on these moments to generate new projects.

Bridal Veil

This arts - art object with lights on. Spacious room with a ceiling of complex profile, like cumulus clouds. Chandelier fits in a space, smoothly flowing from the front wall to the ceiling. Crystal and white enamel leaves in conjunction with the elastic bending of thin tubes create the image of a flying veil over the world. The abundance of light and golden glow flying birds create a feeling of spaciousness and joy.
