Continue readingThe Sheerin Pavilion for 2023 Guangzhou Design Week provides an exhibition space for sintered stones. Artificial stones are employed to simulate the natural ones, aiming to present a spatial ambiance of a mined artificial stone canyon. This simulation and representation create a captivating juxtaposition. The systematic design of space, scene, and structure not only presents the unity of form and force, and the connection between behavior and space, but also provides the possibility of recyclability of the exhibition venue. It is a exploration of sustainable exhibition construction.
Continue readingSkyline Bay is a community center built in Chengdu, China. The building has a construction area of 920 square meters and a two-story double-height layout that forms a semi-enclosed space with partitions but no full separation. The facade is clad in silver-white aluminum plate and champagne gold perforated aluminum plate, shaped into flowing curves that recall butterfly wings. Curved lines continue inside, creating quiet corners for reflection. The design draws on the nearby Shaxi waterway and wetland park and follows a waterfront island concept.

Ancora reconsiders these values in which their way of writing, drawing from the heart provides joy that also delivers a special experience such as customizable fountain pens that can be combined in a myriad of ways; and ink blending using a cocktail shaker.
Continue readingFushan Ecological is a greenway structure placed on the south side of Fushan Mountain, where the site has a height difference of 21 meters. The form is inspired by the pinecones found on the mountain, and each level is a twisted hexagon that becomes smaller toward the top. A concrete foundation supports a steel grid structure with inner and outer cylinders. The path surface is made of anti-corrosion wood or imitation wood. Inner steps allow quick passage, and outer ramps suit slow walking. Both paths meet at a viewing platform at the top.
