Boundary between interior and exterior space is blurred when combining with outdoor scene The carpet spread here with abstract pattern derived from Zaha Hadid's 3D painting, consisting of reconstructive lines and structural changes of color blocks, gives the space another distinctive attraction of personality.

The scene is visually appealed and special enough for creating the brand image. The color palette, black & gold, imitates the atmosphere of the dark sea, also, gave the brand a mysterious, luxury touch.
Continue readingThe scenery surrounding Selva of Val Gardena, Italy creates some of the most picturesque landscapes in the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites, projecting imagery that is mostly seen in oil canvas paintings. The project encompasses modern and traditional alpine architecture, marrying each type into one cohesive form. The strong use of local materials grounds the house onto the site merging it with the landscape. Each material has its own unique texture to match the earthy colors and natural surroundings. The house was constructed according to high energy efficiency standards.
Continue readingWith Loyly Helsinki offers foreign visitors a public sauna experience, a must when visiting Finland. The building was designed slim and elongated so as not to cut the narrow park. The volume is kept as low as possible so that it doesn't block views from the future residential blocks. The sauna is developed into an easy-going, faceted construction that is more part of the park than a conventional building. When the wooden building turns gray, it will become more like a rock on the shoreline. The project was first fully FSC-certified building in F inland and second in Scandinavia.

The challenge of the design for Estudio Maba was to make the most of these qualities relevant on the result. Since the materials are rigid they can be sustained and form a composition. As such a sculpture with different colors and thicknesses. A product sample book that becomes a piece itself. A decorative object, further than a catalogue, this piece is volumetric design nice to see, touch and feel.
